I think its really great that Luke thought about what he could do now that hes getting a fake ID so he can try and free all of the other shadow children in the world.

@Phylicia: I'm not sure what I would do. Part of me says take the risk of being killed. It might help others. An the other hand, I knew hope would be unlikely with how ingnorant the government is in the voice of the 3rd (+) children.

I felt sad about the ending of the book because Jenn died in the rally. After Luke found out her father was a population police officer, he got really angry.
Also, yes I'm planning to read the rest of the series (Shadow Children). It looks like there is going to be alot of action once I get more in to the series.

I felt upset for Luke because of what had happened to all of the other shadow children and Jen. I do plan on contiuing the series. I do plan on continuing the series because I want to find out what will happen to Luke now that something bad has happened to him.
I felt kind of scared at the end of the book because i didnt know what was going to happen whe the population police came to the house. I also felt sad because jen died while trying to fight up for her rights. I felt htis way because i thought jens dad was a big part of the population police who wouldnt kill his daughter, but would kill luke for first of all being another shadow child and second of all seeing his daughter.

I also do want to read the rest of the series because i want to know what is going to happen and, because i have so many questions running through my mind like, Will the population police and government release the law of three shadow children?

The way I feel about the end of the book is in a way... surprised. A way I was surprised was that Jen's father revealed that she was dead, and so were the other kids involved in The Rally. Another way I was surprised was that Luke gave in to the idea of getting a fake I.D. I was surprised to these details because I would not imagine Luke taking a fake I.D., knowing he already did betray his parent's trust. I also can't imagine confident Jen being shot by the workers of the government. To me, it just seemed/ sounded unatural.

Well, I read this book before and I believe to me that the ending is very sad. I don't like the ending. I think at the ending of the book jen should of got away from the Population Police and not killed if they wanted one person to be killed they should of had one of the Population Police accidnetly get shot and killed by one of the other Population Police while they tried to kill a shadow children.

The way I feel about the ending of this book is very mystery revealing way to me. I do want to continue the series in becuase one of my favorite genres are mysterys. Another reason I want to continue the series is becuase the book keeps your mind going so you can think like a detective and be a detective. You can try to be with the mystery like when Luke coulden't connect to any shadow child.you had to think about it and figure out why he can't connect to anyone.

I think that something is fishy about Jen and her dad........other than working with the population police. I wouldlike to read therest of these series because they seem like books that brings alot of diiferent wonders to your mind so you will be more tempted to read the next book. I also would like to read the series because the story lets you have different emotions for different books in the series. Im pretty sure in the book people probably say stuff outloud. Like when Jen died I almost cried it was just all too fast, thats why I think she is not really dead. I would advise other people to read these stories if you like mystery and suspense. If you dont I advise you not to read it.

I feel scared and dizzy because Luke is getting a fake ID and I had a dream that luke will be discovered and will be parished from the earth just like Jen and all the other shadow kids.I am planning to continue the series because I want to know what happened and see if my prediction is right which was basicly from my dream.

I think the ending of the story is very depressing and dissapointing for me because now that Jen had left for the rally and got shot then died after risking her life for others, Luke has anger in his body and feels heart broken for putting her down.Especially when the Population Police are searching every where for the Shadow Children.I wold like to continue the Shadow Children series because I would like to find out what happens to Luke and his family or if George (Jen's dad) gets caught making a fake ID for Luke.
What do you think will happen to Luke and his family? Do you think George is lying that he wasn't involved in killing his daughter, Jen?

At the ending of the book I felt almost in a trance to read more. Because with all of these things that are going on in the book I just needed to learn more because with jenn dying and the ralley being a huge big fat bloody fail along with the fact the goverment so it cant be over yet. I really just felt like they left me on a hug is still evil. Its sort of like just the beggining of introducing the series. They left me on such a cliffhanger and that its the first book?! You can be sure that with that ending im not gonna stop reading those books. I cant handle a cliffhanger like that so im definately not gonna stop reading those glorious books. This is a real compelling book and I would love to see the true and last ending. I bet it will be really amazing and I really really like this book. I hope other people read this book and I hope that Luke might finnally defeat that distopia goverment!

yea but at least he approved from the first question
I felt that the ending of the story was very sad, but very very suspensful. For example, as the book was coming closer to the end, Luke got to know that Jen's father was a part of the Population Police. At that time, I felt that Jen's father was in the ruin of all the innocent shadow children. Yes, I would like to continue this series because as I said, this a suspenful story. As a reader, I have a lot of interest in suspense. By continuing the series, I can find out a lot of interesting mysteries connected to the book.

I was actually surprised at the outcome of the story. I never would have expected that Jen would have to die in the story. I was also startled to find out that Jen's dad works for the Government, and not just the inosent one, but the Population Police. I am planning to read the rest of the series because the suspense and action of the book keeps me hanging on to the plot of the story. I am hoping to find out what Luke is going to do with the fake ID that Jen's dad is going to give him.

I feel surprised about the ending of the book.It was very suspenceful at the end.I'm planning on reading the series of "The Shadow Children"because the first book is very interesting about how Luke was one of the shadow children who got out of his house when he's not supposed to.Now that he knows about the Population Police can come looking for him,Jen's dad could make him a fake I.D. for himself. He did ask for the I.D. from Jen's dad who was also part of the Population Police.
